Renewal Date: Every two (2) years from the date of original license issue

Hours required15 hours

If your license expires BETWEEN 01/01/12 AND 12/31/2013, hours needed are: 

  • Residential Brokers, Branch Office Managers, Team Leaders: 15 hours including 3.0 MREC Agency - Residential (h), 3.0 MREC Required Supervision (i), 3.0 Legislative (a), 1.5 Fair Housing (c), 3.0 MD Code of Ethics (d) (required classes) and 1.5 elective hours.
  • All Other Residential Associate Brokers and Salespersons: 15 hours including 3.0 MREC Agency - Residential (h), 3.0 Legislative (a), 1.5 Fair Housing (c), 3.0 MD Code of Ethics (d) (required classes) and 4.5 elective hours (no duplicates).
  • Please Note: Licensees may only use a maximum of 3.0 hours in topic/category (g) toward license renewal.

If you have a graduate degree in Law or Real Estate or have a Commercial Real Estate License and your license expires BETWEEN 1/1/2012 AND 12/31/2013, see MREC website and charts to determine your CE hours required.

Renewal requirements for licenses expiring on or after 1/1/14 will be posted at a later date.

Expiration date of course: Courses expire one year after the order date. 

Final Exams: Final exams must be passed with a 70% and may be taken as many times as necessary in order to pass. 

Certificates:  Immediately upon real estate course completion, The CE Shop will provide students with an electronic copy of the course Certificate of Completion. Certificates will remain in your account for a minimum of five (5) years, should you need additional copies at a later time. Please refer to your renewal application to determine if you need to submit your Certificate(s) of Completion with your renewal.
